Migración y violencia sexual y reproductiva : revisión bibliográfica mundial, 2019-2023

Abstract

OBJETIVO: Analizar la literatura científica publicada entre los años 2019-2023, respecto a la relación existente entre migración y violencia sexual y reproductiva. METODOLOGÍA: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica que incluye las dificultades en las que se ven envueltas estas mujeres viajando a nuevos países. RESULTADOS: Los derechos sexuales y reproductivos son uno de los derechos que más ha sido vulnerado en mujeres migrantes a través de los años. Las dificultades en las que se ven envueltas las mujeres migrantes que buscan una mejor calidad de vida es un ejemplo de aquello. Los resultados de estas búsquedas nos muestran que las mujeres, jóvenes y niñas migrantes sufren violaciones y abusos por parte de grupos de trata de personas, enfrentan un deficiente acceso a servicios de salud, mal control obstétrico durante el curso del embarazo, carencia de artículos de higiene básica y menstrual, disparidad para acceder a servicios básicos en comparación a las mujeres locales y por sobre todo sufren discriminación, especialmente a personas LGBTQI+. DISCUSIÓN: Teniendo presente todo lo que viven las mujeres durante su proceso de migración, argumentamos que los derechos sexuales y reproductivos se ven vulnerados en esta parte de la población. Estos derechos son de suma importancia para una salud integral y de calidad, y deben ser tomados en cuenta. De esta manera, cada país tendrá las herramientas necesarias para actuar frente a este fenómeno llamado migración. CONCLUSIÓN: La migración impacta los derechos sexuales y reproductivos. La búsqueda de una mejor vida puede resultar en lo opuesto, afectando en aspectos físicos, psicológicos y sociales. Pese a que los países intentan ayudar a las personas migrantes, sus esfuerzos no son suficientes, por lo que se incentiva a poder generar herramientas necesarias para iniciar un cambio.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the science literature published in the years 2019-2023, regarding the existing relationship between migration and sexual and reproductive violence. METHODOLOGY: A literature review was conducted, including the difficulties in which the migrant women are involved when traveling to new countries. RESULTS:Sexual and reproductive rights are one of the rights that have been most violated in migrant women over the years. The difficulties faced by migrant women seeking a better quality of life is an example of this. The results of these searches show us that migrant women, young women and girls suffer rape and abuse by human trafficking groups, face poor access to health services, poor obstetric control during the course of pregnancy, lack of basic hygiene and menstrual items, disparity in accessing basic services compared to local women and, above all, discrimination, especially against LGBTQI+ people. DISCUSION: Bearing in mind all that women experience during their migration process, we argue that sexual and reproductive rights are violated in this part of the population. These rights are of utmost importance for comprehensive and quality health and must be taken into account. In this way, In this way, each country will have the necessary tools to act in the face of this phenomenon called migration. CONCLUSION: Migration impacts sexual and reproductive rights. The search for a better life can result in the opposite, affecting physical, psychological, and social aspects. Although countries try to help migrant people, their efforts are not enough, so they are encouraged to generate the necessary tools to initiate a change.
